Hey hey!!

Wow this week has been busy. Last time I checked in I was joyfully resting on spring break. This week I have so much work to do it’s insane. If you know me, my time management skills aren’t always the best but I always finish my work. So that often means I stay up way too late finishing my homework or waking up extra early to finish what I didn’t the night before. This issue with this system, is that it always works. There’s no downside to putting off my work except the fact that I’m a little bit tired for the rest of the day. This happened once again over spring break, where I had about 5 hours of homework that I saved until 8 pm the night before it was due. I hardly finished and got so little sleep and so the cycle began. I woke up early to finish it all, finished it, got home, took a nap, stayed up way too late without finishing my homework and had to do it all again the next day. On top of all that, I also have to study for 4 AP exams and continue working on sending my support letters. But anyways, I’m super grateful that I get to go to school everyday to learn even when it’s a lot of work.

As of today I have 19 days left of high school before I graduate and only 120 days until I leave for the World Race. I’ve been spending my days spending as much time at school as possible. For example, on Monday I stayed late and had a really fun time with my friends just chilling. On Tuesday, Eliana, Sophia and I watched the baseball game and soaked up the sun. On Wednesday I stayed in the library and studied for an AP exam. Today I went to math lab, finished some homework (only some), and watched cheer tryouts. It’s so surreal to think that someday soon, will be my last day on campus for a meaningful amount of time. Sure I can always come back but it will never be the same as it is right now. I’d like to quote Andy from the office, “you don’t know you’re in the good old days until you’ve already left them.” At this time, I do realize I’m in the good old days but nothing is going to stop time and I’ll soon be leaving anyways.

A Bible passage that is standing out to me this week is Psalm 92. Here is the link if you would like to read it before reading my analysis. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2092&version=NIV We read it in Bible Study this week and it basically highlights how God is our rock. How evildoers may prosper on earth but in the end only the righteous will have eternal life. I love how glorious God is portrayed in this Psalm. It is so beautiful how God’s glory transcends time and is a “rock” for all those who love Him. As I go through the rest of this week I want to continue to look for ways in which God is actively being a rock in my life and the lives of those around me.

My song of the week: YOUR WAY’S BETTER by Forrest Frank. There’s one line in the song that says, “Jehovah Jireh, Provider” and it is just gorgeous *chef’s kiss*
Prayer Requests: Continued prayer for me to write and send my support letters. Prayer over my AP exams. Prayer for my school community to continue to find joy in school and depend on God to be our rock in all aspects of our lives.

Remember to comment down below and I’ll respond 🙂

With so much love,
Mieko 🙂
