BIG Update

Hey hey!

There is a huge update regarding the mission trip but first I want to share how I spent my past week. This past week I had the pleasure of attending church camp as a CCA at Forest Home. This is my fourth year as a CCA and it just keeps getting better. From amazing girls in my cabin to radiant counselors and wonderful children to take care of, the people are always awesome. I can’t wait to go back later in the summer. This week a new fire for Jesus was lit under me.

There were lots of things I learned in the last week. I read and studied through the entire book of james and loved it! We talked a lot about identity. What I took away was that no matter what happens, I am defined not by what I do, but by what He did for me. I also learned about what it means to invite God into simple spaces. By simply inviting God in we can turn ordinary places into holy ground (shoutout Gracie for the great seminar). I also got to chat with an old cabin mate and now counselor. She took a gap year last year and served a mission with YWAM. She was so encouraging and her faithfulness to the LORD is so inspiring. In addition to all of that I had so many amazing and fruitful conversations with other girls and counselors that built me up in so many ways.

BIG UPDATE: Today I received news that my route was cancelled due to staff shortages. So, this means I will need to choose a new route with completely different countries. As of right now I have no idea where God wants me. Please be praying that God places me on the right route and that the choice is obvious for me. Once I know which route I will be going on, I will update you all again.

Fundraising Update: I am currently 17% funded for the trip. The Lord has been so faithful to me so far. I am confident that His plan is so good and money is just a small obstacle in His Kingdom. Song of the Week: Can’t Steal My Joy by Josiah Queen feat. Brandon Lake. I love this song so much because it reminds me that my strength is the joy of the Lord. My joy is permanent because it is a result of the miraculous gift given to me from Jesus. Especially with the new route changes happening. It was really hard news but I remember that He is a GOOD Father! and no matter what my joy remains.

Prayers Requests: For discernment in my route change, so God will make it apparent to me which route He wants me on. For my kiddo that I was babysitting this week who had to go to the hospital due to an emergency. For continued obedience and surrender to God’s plan even when it’s hard. For God’s generosity to provide the funds I need to spread Jesus’ love on this trip.
